Artists Own is located in Jasper National Park. The shop was originally opened in 1992 by an arts enthusiast and supporter. Since then it has evolved from offering framing services to an art supplier to arts promotion.
In 2002 we were given an opportunity to share our love of the arts with another company specializing in visual storytelling. This took Artists Own on another wonderful tangent - documenting and filming artists and cultural events - all over Alberta.
We still represent a core of artists from Jasper. And continue to offer custom framing.
It is now 2008 - 16 years in Jasper and 26 years pursuing this wonderful career. We could not have done it without these artists and all their wonderful patrons!

AND on December 21st I was honoured with this beautiful carving by artist Tony Klettl, a Mayors Award for my years of contributing to the 'Arts'.
He has taken a place of prominence on my desk - looking very much at home in front of a peaceful forestscape oil painting by Norene Carr.
